Superman To Have Big Role In Justice League
After the events of Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice many fans were left wondering exactly how much Superman we are actually going to see in the upcoming Justice League film. Luckily the director of the films Zack Snyder sat down with Empire magazine to talk about the film for their upcoming issue.
When speaking about Superman and how much of a role he will play in the film Snyder told Empire “Superman does play a big part in this movie… His presence and lack of presence, are big story points…”
Spoiler Alert for those who have not yet seen the film for some reason, and do not want the ending ruined, look away now.
If you have seen it you will remember that the characters of Superman and Doomsday appeared to have killed each other at the end during Batman, Wonder Woman and Superman’s (DC trinities) final battle against the monster. Fans of the comics will know that this was based on the 1992 DC Comics storyline “The Death of Superman”, which saw the death and eventual resurrection of the Man of Steel after the event.
Now we have known for a while that Henry Cavill would be reprising his role in Justice League and now it seems he will be back in a big way. Even though we don’t exactly know how his character is going to be after being dead or if the mullet will make an appearance, we at least know that Steppenwolf will be the main villain the League will been facing off against.
Justice League along with Cavill will star Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller, Amy Adams, Jeremy Irons, J.K Simmons, Amber Heard, Diane Lane and Jesse Eisenberg. It is set to hit theatres November 17.
