Shazam And Black Adam To Be Split Into Two Films
We have known for a while that the New Line Cinema and DC Entertainment film Shazam will be heading to theatres eventually. We also know that Dwayne Johnson has been attached for years to play the heroes arch-nemesis Black Adam.
Now it seems we are going to be getting more from Johnson as the character then was originally planned. Deadline reports that the character of Black Adam will be getting his own standalone film alongside Shazam. Johnson recently had met with DC and this is, according to Variety, the reason the film is now in the works.
For the moment New Line has not announced a writer or director, and a release has not yet been set. Shazam is currently slated to hit theatres April 5, 2019, but that could change is Black Adam ends up taking its place causing it to be moved like The Batman and Justice League 2.
